Did anybody catch it? It was an amazing episode. It was a special and it was mainly about fieldcraft and the best ways to approach different animals/species to get close to them.
He even did..... A KINGFISHER which I know everybody raves about on here!
Some excellent tips to be had, even on Wild Rabbit, Wild boar, Otters, Urban Foxes, Deer etc.
I'm not sure if there'll be a repeat but I'd definately keep your eyes open for it if you missed it.
EDIT: Found it on BBC iPlayer here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007qgm3

I Sky +'d it. I'll definately be watching this, my recent attempts to photography wildlife, I need plenty of help!
it was an excellent program, hand feeding the Stag was quite impressive, and only took 12 months of his life to achieve !
It will be on the BBC iPlayer for those that missed it... Including me lol

After a few failed attempts at getting some good shots of Wild Rabbit this has also helped considerably, it's well worth the watch.
He actually lies down next to an active warren and the rabbits start running around him. It was great TV.

I could be wrong (the other half is always telling me i am :) )
there are more programs to come but on different aspects of wildlife with different presenters for each one.

I thought the 3 programs this week were just selected highlights of what has already been shown.
Looks like I missed out.
excellent program
surprised that he was advocating taking pictures of kingfishers
even included "in-nest" shots
thought you needed a license for that sort of thing - he never mentioned that
stunning photography nevertheless

Yes you do need a license to shoot Kingfishers anywhere near the nest site. Im surprised he didnt mention it myself !

Excellent prog. Loved the dolphins bit, though not much fieldcraft needed at Chanonry Point just a reasonably long lens and a bit of patience. An hour either side of high/low tides and you'll be unlucky NOT to see them.

Me too! All schedule 1 birds are protected and during the breeding season should only be photographed at or near the nest under license. Schedule 1 bird list here:
