Could anybody who has rented a Canon lens tell me what I could expect to pay please? either a 400mm 2.8 or a 500mm F4 IS. Daily or weekly rates would be great if you know what they are.

Do they really have a 1,200L? I just can't see it seeing as only a tiny amount was made, they're worth like £100,000 and they don't have a 800L. Anyone?

I was reading it the other day and the site says

Unfortunately we don't have one of these, yet. We recently saw one advertised for sale at US$99,000 (plus $US935 postage to the UK!) - which is surprising enough in itself, as there are supposedly only about 10 or 12 in existence - but we don't have that kind of loose change lying around.Maybe next year.

$99,000....... Ouch :(

Even if they got one, it'd be silly to hire it. It's irreplaceable and no-doubt it'd be a target. Big time.
