Flippin' eck ... love me love my car ...
... or what ... :geek:
It's grey ... it's LHD ... it's a BMW ... it's grey ...
:p
Well yeh, maybe it is a little obsessive. I mean, when I first saw it I was more impressed by the photos than the actual car!

Make a nice track car perhaps. Used to follow the Gumball rally boys round Oulton in their M3 Csl. It was fast!
For the road I would prefer something a bit more laid back and less "pimped".
I don't see a "how to not drive your car like a complete *******" mod.
They should be compulsory on BMWs.

I thought it was quite subtle stuff he'd done to the car really, although the numberplate is a bit OTT. Incredibly clean though, have to hand it to him on that front.
nice photos, but the car is just a BMW.
How come his fog lights arent on?
Next thing you know people will be photographing Audi TTs :)
I think the BMW driver is the next one on the bikers what to look out for list just behind volvo drivers and caravanners:)

got to say i really used to hate volvo drivers, but things seem to have changed in the last 10 years and they really dont seem to be a problem anymore...
only BMW and Audi drivers **** me off now :) oh, and also drivers of Model Ts, but you just dont see them about so much anymore :) :)

Some funny comments here. I agree some of the skies are nicer than the car. Got to say though cars look good without a licence plate.

I nearlly fell asleep looking at that series,... boring,...
ah ha , i love this set of pics! awsome.. ive had these saved on my PC for a few months now. in its own folder :D
its a VERY good example of a e46 CSL replica. and a far bit quicker too by all acounts !
i would have thought he would have tried to fit a carbon roof though! ive seen this done on e46's before, with good results
thanks for refreshing my memory :)

OMG!
its not just a BMW dude. have you seen the HUGE list of modifications done to that car?.
every part of that car has been either replaced, upgraded and made better.
you would need to see before and after pictures, or have great knowledge in that model of car to fully apprieciate what really has been done. you really have no idea the extensiveness of this creation.
and to do all the work that hes done, and so subtley too is just incredeible.
its a fine peice of Bavarian machinery made 100 times better.
oh and he has no fog lights because hes used one of the holes as an air intake for his hugely modified engine.
Got to admit, it's impressive :)
the car does nothing for me really, love the photo's though, i was trying to figure out if he had photoshopped them but as soon as i saw the sunset ones i could tell straight away that they were photoshopped.
stunning pics though, i love the effect of wide angle shots like that.

I think you meant thats MPRESIVE
The csl is a fine car if you don't need to use if for anything more than sunny weekends, the lack of tread on the tyres and the card board floor in the boot rule out most activities :D
And then you have the awesome power delivery and the jarring gear changes
That guys taken a coupe to a whole new level, stunning looks and blinding upgrades......fair play to him and the pictures aren't bad either :)
Never been a big fan of the bimmers, but i've had a play in the csl at bruntingthorpe and you can't fail to be impressed with the overall package.....and that car looks better!
its not a csl guys. its an normal M3 just heavily modified..

Those high street shots are amazing .......
Not a single bit of litter or graffiti anywhere. I want to live there!
I'd still rather have my 330d for everyday driving! :p
its still a BMW! I dont care if he has replaced the brush and the handle and made it into a new car (carbon roof? wtf?).
the thing is, its a photo of a BMW! ZZZZZzzzzzz
so close to the river.. just one little push...
now lets see some real and rare cars please.. Maybe some Maserati Birdcage, Lola t70, Porsche 916, AC Cobra, Bugatti, but not a BMW 3 series
merry christmas!

Lets stray off topic a little here....:suspect:
What's the difference between the M3 and the M5 which thoroughly blew me into the weeds some weeks back, Holy crap that car had some lift..

Dunno Joe, It had a private plate on it the bit I saw of it..
All I do know is my Golf 150TDI chipped (Re-Mapped) to 190bhp can shift but this beemer power to weight was incredible..

If it was the current one, we are talking about a 500bhp 5.0 litre V10 - not to be sneezed at! If it was the older one, its still a very powerful V8.
The current m3 has a 3.0 straight six- tuned to around 338bhp.
Makes 150bhp look a little slow doesnt it??? Even makes my 184bhp BMW 330d and your tuned Golf look slow! Although of course, diesels tend to punch above their wieght when you just look at bhp. Torque rules! :D

   Different league altogether then..:)
   Different league altogether then..:)
Sure is! Spie (of OcUK fame) has one.
Its one of the most amazing cars on the market at the moment. Its a bit hardcore though, and apparently the interior is a mess. The exterior is very similar to a bog-standard 5-series Sport, and I kind of like the subtelty. In the real world I'd have a 535d - the 3 litre diesel with two turbos and 272bhp.
When you buying one then busterboy? ;)

The 5 series is a bigger car than the 3 series and just about any of the M5 versions will make a family hatch back look a tad silly on it's trip to the golf course.
yeah as said above, the 5 series is a totaly diferent model than the 3, the 5 has 4 doors and is a larger more "excecutive" car. with a v10 (taken out of the williams f1 car) more trickery than you can beat a stick at and produces a selectable 507bhp . i say selctable because you can choose if you want to use the whole engine or not...
the e46 M3 is still the newest M3 as they havent realised an e90 m3 yet. but when they do its coming with the old M5 v8 engine with around 400bhp.
curently the m3 has a 3.2 ltr engine producing 343bhp.
the 5 series is the worlds fastest salon..
think about it. a car that can carry 5 people, each with their own sets of golf clubs in the boot. and can still get to 60mph in 4.5 secs and top out at 204mph. now THATS a car!
and this is the roof on a CSL

wow, you guys really do love BMWs.
three points
1) If carrying lots of people and going fast is your thing, then go to ryanair.com and you can do 500mph for about 10 quid
2) There is a new car every day that seems to claim the fastest saloon record (sorry to say this one beats the BMW hands down, and IMHO is much prettier):

as you can probably tell, this whole 'BMW is the best car in the world' nonsense gets my goat.. But dont worry, i am seeking therapy in the new year

How is Reading? I shall be back there tomorrow. No reports of apartment blocks being burned to the ground?

Cold and dull, but then I guess that's winter for you? I've not heard of any fires recently - I hope that's not famous last words :bonk:

to be fair though, that isnt straight out of the factory though is it. mercedes built the car, then it went off to brabus be be tuned,
im sure Hartge could do the same with the e60 M5, but we are talking standard production cars here.
dont get me wrong i think new mercs are awsome, i drove a brand new CLS 55 AMG the other day, absolutly awsome car :woot:
