Hi all, a little new to all this, photography thing but getting there slowly.

Had the opportunity to go to rockingham speedway, with my mate and his brother to test a car (Old shape BMW M3) that he has just finished building for a customer.

Weather was overcast, very very windy, and drizzle rain too. Neadless to say the car only came in for fuel, tyres and lunch break.

Pics below were taken with my 350D and an 18-200 sigma lens.

Any advice more than welcome.

Not bad for a first attempt.

I notice you had aperature priority set. You might have been better to have shutter priority set at,say, 1/250th and ramp the ISO accordingly to get a shot.

Overall not bad though for a dull day and first attempt!

White balance is certainly off in the first shot. The white stripe on the car is rather blue.

Do you shot RAW at all? Even if you dont, you can still play with the colours in PS (or whatever software you use).

You compositions arent bad, but a little cropping may help here and there.

You have managed to capture plenty of motion blur in the last two, which is good. :)

I think the shot are OK, but as said the white balance is off.

I hope you don't mind but I did a quick adjustment in lightroom on the first shot.

I agree with the white balance being off but otherwise not bad at all
