Hi all,
I need some help, I've got a Toshiba portable DVD player (sd-p1880) and it only plays UK DVDs. I understand it's possible to make DVD players multi region and have had a look through google with no luck.
Does anybody know how I can do this?
Cheers and Merry Christmas,
Pete

I have used this company (http://www.dvdchips.co.uk/) before..
Excellent job too..:)
do a google, as you will find some sites that have hacks where you do various things with the remote to program it.
Been googling and can't find a hack specific to that model, but I have found the following on a couple of sites for different models in the SD-Pxxxx range, so it may be worth a try. However I take no responsibility for the outcome.
- Turn on the player and wait until it says "No disc".
- Press "memory" on the remote (for mine, I had to select "shift" then "memory").
- Select the region number you want or 0 for all regions.
- Press "play".
- Turn off the player then turn it back on.
The player should now be set to the region you selected or be region free.
I've successfully done this with a couple of players in the past, there's usually a way to do it via the remote as Glen says.
