Hi all,

I had a 400d but this is now in camera heaven and I am now cameraless and getting impatient for a replacement.

Budget is important so I was looking to get a used 40d, but this is proving harder than I thought to get one with low shutter count etc. I have posted in the wanted section, but in case that falls through where would you recommend getting new?

Also - is canon about to do a seasonal cashback soon?

I have emailed Kerso, but I still get a vacation reply from him (BTW does anyone know what he is selling the 40d bodies for?).

I also tried Camerabox (great price at £550) but OOS.

Any other recommendations?
DigitalRev £546 (http://www.digitalrev.com/en/canon-eos-40d-dslr-body-2117.html?match_type=1)
onestopdigital - £579?

Thanks.

Have you looked at AV Forums in camera section, i got one with 1700 count plus 3 months warranty, going rate around £400 ish.
If i recall DRB5 was selling one with low count last week, i think he is member of this forum also.

Sometimes it is the less obvious places that give the offers.. PC World, never would have looked there.

Yes - this one? (http://www.avforums.com/forums/archive-completed-business-expired-threads/1023620-sale-canon-40d-body-brand-new-28-135mm-lens.html) Thanks I looked at that (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CANON-EOS-40D-BODY-ONLY-DIGITAL-CAMERA-NOT-5D-50D-30D_W0QQitemZ130315977000QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Cam erasPhoto_DigitalCameras_DigitalCameras_JN?hash=it em1e57700128&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1690%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50) but the shutter count was higher than I would have liked. Trawling all the forums at the minute..... half the fun is looking :)

I have - but they go for silly prices. One I was watching earlier in the week went for £650 .
