Yeppers, pure impulse buy. Bought myself a DVD recorder. Dunno why, when a £35 player would have done the job. Still, nevermind, eh? Who said I wasn't allowed to get myself an early Xmas pressie?

(I was half expecting the till to come back with 'Oi, I'm not THAT ********* flexible though!)

I have to admit that I was tempted by a dvd recorder in Tesco's today.

Glad that I have deep pockets and short arms.

Ah - interesting - I have a similar problem, but in my case it worsens the nearer I get to the bar!

Same thing happened to me yesterday when I was buying an Xbox360 game for my g/f for xmas. They happened to have some of the rare-as-hens-teeth xbox360 high definition dvd players in stock so I bought one as an early present to myself :D

Nice one Chris  Why is it that the impulse buy always feels better than the thing you think about and plan for ages?

I guess it's a two-fingered salute to the little angel of conscience that's busy burying its face in it's hands as you put your credit card back in your wallet!

I did the same thing the other week.....still trying to get the hdd to record the channels I want, rather than it getting the final say and recording any other random channel.

I bought one years ago, hardly ever use it though, programs are repeated so often I don't need to :)
