Hi all

Read through the Owners Manual again this weekend as well as the camera menu, and I'm missing how to do this completely. :bonk:

I'd like to change the default camera settings for JPEG sharpness, ideally to increase the sharpness by a couple of levels.

Is it possible to do this using the camera menu? If so, how do I do this please?

Thanks.

On a D300 it is under "Shooting Menu" (camera icon) > "Set Picture Control" > choose the picture control you are using (Standard, Neutral, Vivid) then move the sharpening slider

There is a useful guide to your D90 from Ken Rockwell HERE (http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d90/users-guide/index.htm) take some of his site with a pinch of salt, but his guides are easy to follow, and make a better job of explaining what changing settings will do, compared to the manual.

D90 is the same as D300, so as I described above

Thanks very much.

Off on a Med cruise later this week, so didn't want to mess up all those shots of Rome
