The Sandisk ultra or extremes are popular but i've got two reasonably cheap transcend class 6 cards which are at least as fast as an ultra if not faster.
They look just like THIS (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Transcend-8GB-SDHC-Class-6/dp/B000Y7DZY2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1247001612&sr=8-1), but i cant be sure that is exactly the same one (other than it physically looks the same)

I am a newbie, so bear with me....... but what do the differant class's mean???
Is it something to do with the speed of the cards?

Just got this in an email this morning,
http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/newsletter?productId=34881&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_content=8GB+Sandisk+SDHC+Secure+Digital+Card&utm_campaign=newsletter080709
classes refer the the transfer speed (read and write). the transcend are class 6 (mostly) and they suit me fine.

Yes.
Class 2 are slower and Class 6 is current fastest rating.

Yep mine does too, and seems quicker than my other kingston class 6 card.

I use Lexar and Sandisk - but before you buy an all singing all dancing card make sure your body can use all the speed features.
