1/365 - Smoking Kills

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a322/_Abstract_/killsweb.jpg

It is estimated that 122 tonnes of smoking related litter is dropped across the UK everyday. You face a fine of upto £80 if caught littering but the government spends over £500 million of tax payers money per year to try and tackle this ever growing problem. Smoking not only kills the smoker, it kills the countryside and is killing our economy.

Please think twice before you drop your cigarette butt or otherwise litter.

Hi,

Another 365er ;) Wish you luck. Like the rest of us, there will be good and bad times (just coming out of a really rough patch in my 365). Anyway, sorry enough of the doom and gloom.

Really like your first shot, coupled with thought provoking text too, great start

Also sense your 365 will follow a theme, from the title, 'It Matters', if so that will really be interesting to see develop.

2/365 - Unfair Bank Charges

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a322/_Abstract_/OFTweb.jpg

Banks are charging upto £40 per bounced cheque and everytime you go over your overdraft by as little as £1. The high court has ruled that bank charges are in fact covered by "Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations" and now it is upto The Office of Fair Trading to decide if the charges themselves are indeed unfair. If the OFT rule in favour of the consumer and agree the charges are excessive the banks will be liable to possible fines and being made to refund all over charged fees.

3/365 - Disappointment

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a322/_Abstract_/iphoneweb.jpg

I am disappointed with todays entry. Firstly the image didn't work as planned and secondly I didn't get to post it before midnight even though the image was taken on the right day.

If something doesn't turn out exactly how I want it to I start to panic. i find myself burying my head in the sand and sabotaging myself as it seems better to do that that fail. By posting this photo I'm making a stand against this habit of mine.

There is always something good that can be taken from a mistake and that is an important lesson.
