i think ive broke my camera

hi all i have a canon 400d, last time i used it, it worked fine took about 30 photos and everything was fine, now last weekend i went to take some photos and the lense would focus but the camera wouldnt take the picture i tried several diffrent settings and modes and still no luck. I also changed through all my lenses but still nothing . the camera is about 18 months old and has taken about 3000 pictures any ideas what could be up? many thanks chris

Thank god my camera has been relaible. 100,000 photos in just over a year and now the lens has started to play up :lol: Not bad, eh?

Did you point the camera at a high contrast subject? If the sensor doesn't pick up a clear subject, it will occasionally hunt for one.
