I use one of these, Sekonic L-308S, £132 http://www.warehouseexpress.com/product/default.aspx?sku=1006844

Nothing special, but does flash and ambient, incident and reflected, works a treat.

I use it to set flash lighting ratios mainly and always set final exposure via the histogram, though the meter is obviously near as damn it.

It's not one of those super spot zone systemy type thingies. It's not a toy :D

I had been looking at this one myself as well as The Sekonic L-358 Flash Master (http://www.warehouseexpress.com/product/default.aspx?sku=1001396) dont know how they differ if worth the extra

Chaz.. I have a Sekonic L-308s which has been used once and is in minty condition. Yours for £100 including p&p :)

I looked at the 358 too but couldn't really see the added value for the money.

The Sekonic L-758D is a super lightmeter..

The main con is the price, although you can get them from HK for about £230 (or you could 18 months ago), also it's another thing taking up space in your camera bag...

I use it mainly to take spot meter and incident readings for landscapes and the spot is uber good and very small (about 1% IIRC)...
