It is New Year's Eve good people of Talk Photography ...

And as we fast approach the start of a brand new year I would like to wish each and every one of you all the very best for a Happy, Healthy, Successful and photography filled 2007 - and beyond of course ... :D

Thank you to all of our members for an entertaining, educational, amusing, extremely knowledgeable, willingly helpful and damned enjoyable 2006 ... may it continue into 2007 ...

... and (I know it has been said before but) maximum appreciation to all our beloved Admin Staff for making it all possible and keeping it moving in the right direction - you should all be very proud of what has been achieved this past year ... ... but do try and work a bit harder to make it even better in 2007 ... :D

Seriously ... R E S P E C T to you all ... :notworthy:

ANYWAY ... whatever you are doing, wherever you are doing it and whoever you are doing it with ... enjoy it ... and where possible let us see all the results here on the TP Forae ... :naughty:

Very best wishes from me to each and every one of you ...

I know it sounds corny, but it really is our pleasure (I know it is my pleasure, and I'm sure the same can be said for the others too). I personally feel proud everytime I come on here to see people enjoying the forum. That's the drive behind my motivation for doing this anyway..to provide a place like this for the members. I'm sure the other staff will say the same too.

A very good way to put it my good man
I can only but echo that sentiment. Most importantly...whatever you are doing...enjoy it.... (And let us see the photos).

As someone said the other day, may your memory cards be full, your viewfinder have something in it, and may your shots be plenty (or something like that).

:D

Marcel, here you go mate… this one?

... May your memory cards always have frames left, your batteries never fall below half and your image stabilisation always damp out those delirium tremors....hic.

:D

Have a great new year all, and thanks for this forum everybody.

A wee ditty for the staff and regular members.

You are the tops,
you are my inspiration.
Your photographs,
they are my infatuation.
If you went down, Id be lost and confuse… and extremely bemused
Ohhhhh TP
You’re the Tops.

 ... Short but pehaps not so sweet.

Thanks Rog - your appreciation is appreciated. :)

It's only a couple of months ago that we were speculating whether we'd reach 1000 membership by Christmas, but just look at us - we've exceeded that by 500 members! The recent growth in membership is nothing short of explosive and if it continues at this rate, then exciting times lie ahead.

Membership numbers can be very misleading though, and the board is nothing without quality content and regular contributers - we have you peeps to thank for that.

Here's wishing all of you a happy, prosperous and contented 2007.

Only had one beer in the end - so no hangover for me.

BTW, as its New Years Day, am I allowed sausage rolls and pringles for breakfast?

No hangover here either. Not a drop passed my lips yesterday (very rarely drink anyway). And my wife and I had a couple of friends round last night so I had already arranged to take them home afterwards so they could have a drink etc.

Doesn't bother me, not drinking. I had to resist cries of "We'll get a taaaaxxxiiiii, gooo ooonnn, have a drink, it's New Year!!!!"
with
"I'm fine, honestly, this coffee is just right"...lol

Wish Id resisted the 'goooo ooon' Marcel.
Have a bit of a problem with staying hydrated when alcohol passes my lips, so my 'hang over' kicks in faster than anyone elses (like before the clock struck 12, tut!).
However it means its all done & dusted by the time I wake & Im as right as ninepence now, the sun is shining and all is well with the world!

Soooo....

Happy New Year, to all at TPF. :woot:

Remember those very wobbly times too Allan ... scary or what ...

But like the proverbial Phoenix ... look what's happened to 'our' place since ...

Just goes to show what can be achieved with a little team work, commitment and dedication ... :D ... not to mention a little hard work ... ;)
