Does anyone own a Tamron 70-300mm f4/5.6 DI LD Macro (Canon AF)? If so any pros or cons would be gratefully appreciated.

Maybe this could be of some help:

It would be very nice of a member of TP to put a review of it in the reviews section, as this many people seem to be curious about this lens.

My brother had one of these for approx 48Hrs (Canon AF) - very soft and bad CA took it back to Jessops for a full refund.

I have the nikon but im asuming similar or the same optics, the AF is awful and i mean really really awful, i find it tack sharp for macro stuff and i only grabbed a second hand one so im not going to bother returning it as it wasnt a bad price for a macro lense that i didnt have, if you take things of stuff that isnt moving or your willing to use manual focus its an ok lense for the money, anything moving even slightly or in low light just dont bother
