I have been asked by a mate to print some pictures I took of his little girl, but he has asked for them on canvas. Never touched canvas before for home printing but keen to give it a go and see how it comes out!

I have the Canon Pro 9000 which I know can print to canvas so the question is what paper do you guys use and where do you get it from?

The only one I've come across in sheets that is readily available is the Permajet canvas. Most of the others are in long rolls. A quick Google brings up quite a few options but many I've never heard of before.

Also consider how you are going to mount the finished canvas

Just checked and Warehouse Express stock the Permajet material , but I' sure it's available from other sources

Most sign supplies / large format print supplies sell ink jet canvas on rolls of 10-25-50 metres. Anything from 24-60 inches wide. When cut up into A4/A3 sizes in really only amounts to pence per piece. TP should get a group buy thing going on.
BTW ive used Permajet canvas a few times, and it is great.

Yeah I have been looking at the rolls and one I looked at was £45 for 12m long and 17" wide which I thought was quite a reasonable price!

I dont want to outsource it, I fancy having a go myself... More fun that way! Anyway my printer says it will handle canvas no problem so would like to give it a go and see how they come out.

If you want to give it a try - I'm happy to pre-cut some rolls for you to sizes your printer will accept.

That would be brilliant mate. I would like A3+ to use on my Canon Pro 9000.
Send me a message please with quantities and costs?

Do you have the profiles for my printer to match the paper by any chance?

Cheers

Paul
