As you might be aware, we've outgrown our hosting, yet again. This time, we are going for our own actual physical server. This means the hosting costs for the forums are going to jump when we make the switch. Quite considerably too.

Therefore we're looking at ways to help get the forums to pay for itself, by methods that work very well elsewhere, and most certainly without intruding on forumgoers. That means no popups, no intrusive advertising, no member fees, nothing like that :)
At the moment we're relying solely on donations, our own pocket, and the few groats we make from the merchandise. (We like to keep it as cheap as possible for you guys of course :D)

Therefore this is one venture that we're opting for. A specific traders forum, where, a trader can pay quite a small fee to have their own thread in there, where members can communicate with them with ease. Enquire about products / availability etc, and chat to the members....
And basically not only for the trader to have access to our memberbase, but for our memberbase to have direct access to the trader. Either by way of a convenient messaging system, or by way of exclusive forum discounts. Or even So it's a long term project that's only just being put into motion at the moment.

As always, we welcome suggestions / comments / thoughts etc :D
