That is a very good shot Scott ... nice and crisp throughout with a sense of speed from the exhausts ...

However, like all so-called 'movement' pics it is mostly better to leave a fair bit more of the frame on the side of the subjects direction of travel ... this will allow the impression they are moving into it ... if you get my drift ...

Cracking shot, nice and sharp as Ven says above, that F16 does the rounds here he it is at Leuchars in September.

Not as good as your shot but it's the only one I had showing the number on the tail to confirm it was the same aircraft.

Oh, I wish I was a fighter pilot (but just for flying, not for shooting/bombing).

Nice shot Scott and welcome to the forums

Great plane to see in action too!

Small crit: Small bit of sensor dust bottom left which could easily be cloned out.

Been there, tried that. Unfortunately my knee popped during rugby practice leaving me with 4 pins. Had to be discharged. Sad days they were,.. :bang: In the VRT now but not flying. Just helping young cadets to do the same, obviously not breaking their legs,...

Anyways,... well exsposed and nice colours but it is very static, i know that sounds stupid but if you compared that shot to one where the F-16 is banking or rolling it wouldnt stand out. Might be worth cropping it too,...

Nice shot, Its mabey just a bit to loose for me I would be tempted to crop tighter. But then you lose some of the smoke! Its a well coloured sharp shot.

I got one at Leuchars aswell : -

Nice shot Ally, quite dramatic. However, it could do with a contrast boost and possibly deepen the blues a bit? If you decrease the luminace and increase the blue channel saturation by 5 - 10 points? Just a thought,...

EDIT: I am being a bit of a Simon Cowl today, sorry.

Nice shots, I've watched this plane myself and it does a pretty good display - hard to believe this is becoming an old aircraft now, nice pics

I don't get it - all my shots from leuchars are really backlit and dark - how did you get such a good exposure on the aircraft (ally)

Nice shot of the F 16 - I have one, but its not nearly as good..

I never noticed that... Dam your sharp eyes...

And yes a great display.. Only out done by both the F18 and the MIG29 OVR!!

Fairford last year was just one of the best days out ever... I am going again..

Totaly agree with you, I think it looks a bit "faint" myself. Theirs nothing I like better in a photograph than a deep and rich blue sky

all about where I was placed, In the morning (about 10) I had the sun dead infront of me, but it started to move to my right shoulder as time went on which allowed me to have the sky behind the aircraft and not the sun. But it also ment that I coulden't get the aircraft landing because the sun was behind them.

ah ya - Welcome to the fourms scott  should have said in my last post :bonk:
