NIKON 80-400

I HAVE A NIKON 70-200 WITH 1.7 TELECONVERTER. IS THERE ANY ADVANTAGE IN OWNING AN 80-400 VR LENS AS WELL? WILL THE TELE WORK WITH THE 80-400? ANY GENERAL COMMENTS ABOUT THE 80-400?:bang::bonk:

I have both the 70-200 and 1.7 and the 80-400.

You can't use the TC on the 80-400 and maintain autofocus.

The 70-200 and 1.7 focuss a lot quicker.

You have a little more reach with the 80-400.

My 80-400 is currently for sale.

That's my opinion of the kit.
