View Full Version : New Website Testing.
Hi,
Had some time on my hands so just overhauled my website and just wanted to check I didn't have any technical problems on other peoples rigs. In theory it should be quite fast now aside from loading the gallery sections.

Of course, always up for some CC too! ;)
Cheers all,

Looks good
What software have you used to build it ?
Thats lovely Doug. Got a talent there:clap:
Thanks for the feedback, I assume no technical problems for you chaps?
99% of it was built just using Photoshop coupled with plain old HTML and Java. Although I admit to using AllWebMenus for the Java menu as it really makes life easier.

 Very impressive.
 Very impressive. The only MINOR thing with me is the 3rd person tense in the about section and 1st person in equipment.
Thanks, knew that'd be the thing that trips me up, it's so difficult to stay consistent on the tenses!

Nice overall, but if I am honest the gallery bugs me, hard to see a pic straight on. Personal taste though, overall a nice site.

One other thing is the splash page. It doesn't really do anything other than create one more click to get into the site. I was advised not to do it, so am just passing on what I learnt from others. It doesn't show any of your photographs, which is what you are about so maybe look at removing it.

I've done quite a few sites over the years and this is the only one with a splash screen. It was done intentionally because of the type of traffic the site is likely to get. If it was a high traffic area like retail or forum then it is just a hinderance, but most people will only visit the site once or twice to see their session pics, so it acts as a professional welcome which they can't ignore.
As always though, it's horses for courses. ;)
