Hi,

I am looking for some spare NIKON EN-EL4 batteries for my Nikon D2H. As £89 is alot of money at the moment ! :'(

Does anybody know what replacement batteries are like and are they worth the money ? Where is the best place to buy them ?

Thanks guys...

Paul

Replacement batteries are generally definitely worth buying. Mine came from the USA via Ebay, and I havent noticed any differences from the OEM one.

I think mine were £16 for 2. These were EN-EL3s though. Im sure you can get the ones you are after too.

I agree with Joe. I bought a 3rd party battery for my 1D for 11 quid and it's every bit as good as the Canon one for which they want about 90 quid.

I'd agree with both of the above, I have replacement batteries for my D200 and D70 and they are every bit as good as the originals. Warehouse Express have the Hahnel brand (http://www.warehouseexpress.com/index.asp?photo/digicamextras/NikonSLRacc.html) at £59.99

There is also Delkin as seen here. (http://www.morrisphoto.co.uk/ProductDetails~productID~4660~categoryid~186.html) for a bit less.

Hope this helps.

I'd agree with all of the above, I have had replacement batteries for my D200 and D50 and they are every bit as good as the originals.
If you wanted to stick to Nikon ones OneStopDigital have Nikon ones for £67.99p including delivery (the OEM ones at 7dayshop are £17.99p & delivery btw) ... Paul ;)
