View Full Version : Canon G9 and telephoto lens

Hubby wants to get a telephoto lens for his G9. I know that I need to get this adaptor (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-Conversion-Adapter-DC58H-PowerShot/dp/B000IOM4YS/ref=pd_cp_ce_1) and this lens (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-Tele-Conversion-TC-DC58C-PowerShot/dp/B000IOM4Z2/ref=pd_sim_ce_1).

Anyone have one of these? Are they any good? Have tried to convince him to try a bridge camera and move the G9 on, but he loves that little camera!!

no lens though, I bought it to put filters on, but not used so far.

Also got the Grip, thumb spot & hot shoe cover - what a poser :lol:

:agree: The Lensmate and canon adapters cost about the same, but the Canon one is plastic, the Lensmate one is metal. The grip and thump rest are "must haves" too, they transform the way the camera handles.

There's a complete set of macro, wide angle and telephoto lens for £80 ish. Anyone seen the IQ of these compared to the Canon lens?

Interested to see the grips and stuff:thumbs:
