View Full Version : OLYMPUS E620 AND LENS
I am information gathering for a friend who is just about to buy an OLympus E620. He is looking for a longish zoom like 70-300 and all he can find is the Olympus Zuiko lens. Any opinions about this camera and this lens in partiular before he 'pushes the button':bang::bonk:

I've just ordered one, its meant to be the best E series yet, as good as the E-30 although I'm sure there are some who will dispute that!
Don't know much about the lens myself but I've seen some cracking images from it.
The lens is awesome. Its heavy, but its a great lens, I learnt to use mine without IS (the lens has none, and my body dont either) and when you master it, it is sharp as a tack.

Not the best photography mind you, but hopefully they show off the lens enough!

Thanks guys. great photos Effjay:clap:
The 70-300 is only really 'heavy' against the standard glass/kit lenses. My other half has it and I got to play at the weekend. It's great. I like the manual macro focus option too.
I've got an E620 and it's a great little camera. I also have an E3 and there isn't a lot to tell between them in my view. The E3 has more features but the E620 produces great output for it's price and size.
