View Full Version : Canon 24-70L 2.8 or Canon 50mm 1.8
Apart from the obvious faster aperture is there any point in putting the 50mm on my 5Dmk2?
For a 5d2, i;d use the 1.4 instead of the 1.8. But i'd prefer the fexibility of the 24-70.

I was wondering about this myself. I used to use my nifty fifty at f/1.4 in very low light conditions, but with the 5D mk II I have the option of using the 24-70 L @ f/2.8, turning up the ISO instead and still getting a useable picture, with better depth-of-field :)
I've only had the mk II for a few weeks, so I'll see how I get on..
