Smashed in the face [Archive]

Lost some of the roof with the wind last night so I thought I would get a couple of pics in case I need em for the insurance. Took a few and turned round to look at the damage to the gate when I got smashed in the face by a flying bin lid. Nice red lump on my forhead and a bloody nose, great.
Still looking at some of the slates buried several inches into the lawn I think I got off lightly.

Ouch but atleast the camera and lens didnt get damaged :D

Like the tin man touch, it does feel a bit like that up here. we are quite high up in the penines and the wind is pretty fierce. I keep hearing disconcerting knocks every now and again but there is no way I or any body else will go up on the roof to do a quick patch up job, as suggested by my insurers. Muppets.

It's been blowing like crazy all day today here too. Forecast is for it to drop tomorrow I think?
