View Full Version : Number/Word Quiz -- Help!!!
Please help me, i have got this word quiz thing and i am really stuck.
It works on the basis that you get a set of numbers and words and you have to figure out the phrase/saying etc.
For example-
5 G R = 5 Gold Rings
7 D of the W = 7 Days of the Week
10 D S = 10 Downing Street
These are the ones i am stuck on-
3 L D W S O D - 3 Little Ducks Went Swimming One Day
3 S on C D in the M - 3 Ships on Christmas Day in the Morning
17 B on a ST - 17 Balls on a Snooker Table - after much deliberation!
1951 T A F B - The Archers First Broadcast
33 M L of the K P - 33 Miles, Length of the Kyber Pass
23 P T L is M S - 23 Psalm, The Lord is My Shepherd
154 S of W S - 164 Sonnets of William Shakespeare - My bad it is 154 not 164
4 W of the G - 4 Waters of the Ganges
9 S of L v B - 9 Symphonies of Ludwig van Beethoven
2 P and 1 S in C F
Your help with any of these is appreciated as it's driving me nuts. :bonk: :bang:
Thanks

17 B on a ST
17 balls on a snooker table ?
2 P and 1 S in C F
2 peas and 1 sausage in carbon fibre?
17 Balls on a Snooker Table might well be the 'correct' answer, if the person who wrote it has only ever seen a 4ft snooker table with 10 reds instead of 15. ;)

164 S of W S

I'm usually really good with these - you aint been moving the number around have you :)
Is it any subject? Be easier if you could narrow it down?

I usually do quite well with these - what's going on? Summat tricky about 'em! Is there some sort of local connection that the rest of the country couldn't work out?
9 S of L v B = 9 Symphonies of Ludwig van Beethoven.
Its taken 16 years for my GCSE music D grade to be any use. :/
