Foreground OOF reproduction of 70..200 F4L

Afternoon all

Just an observation on the above lens, I find that OOF areas in front of the subject look "superimposed" and incredibly un-natural. Behind the subject is fine.

I wondered if there is any PP method to help this? I don't have an example to hand unfortunately as I just delete them!

do you have an example, just would like to know what you call superimposed?

I believe most good lenses would have terrible OOF foreground. They are typically optimised for background bokeh.

The solution may be a blur tool in photoshop?
