I have been searching for a brand new canon eos 3 with a 28-200mm zoom lens, but they are all so highly priced! Anyone now somewhere good to get one from?

You can get the camera and lens separately from ebay for less than £500.

Camera will be second hand and the lens will be new.

It's pretty near a Pro camera according to what I've read, you're not likely to find it cheap. Any particular reason why this one and not another? there are plenty of cheaper film 35mm cameras out there.

eos5 cost me £85 from ebay, tis mint condition as well



ive seen a number of eos1 (various incarnations) go for reasonable sub £200 prices as well on fleabay

Eos 5 is one of my fav cameras and can be bought very cheaply (under £100). I would say the EOS 3 is a fairly significant step up in features and build. Why is the 'new' bit important? Is it a gift for someone?

I've seen mint condition 3's go for around the £300 mark at local dealers.

I think you may be right. Probably busy doing that wedding business she was starting up.

On that subject, I do start to worry for the bride and groom when I see some of the following questions on various forums.

Is this camera any good for weddings?
What lens should I use for weddings?
Help with flash photography for weddings!!!

It's a bit different if it's a one off for a mate who is in desperate need of a tog at the last minute, but sometimes it's not. :shake:
