fiddle with the forum so the list of people currently on the boards is listed in alphabetical order ????


It would make it easier to see/find if somebody is viewing :)

yes, I've noticed this. I'm sure that the currently online users list used to be in alphabetical order :shrug:

if you click on the quick links you get a drop down menu which says who's online...that;s in alphabetical order for me :)

I'm pretty sure that it lists them in terms of who has been logged in the longest - if I log on at around 7am and left a page open and other people came and went I'd be listed first.

If that makes sense.

It's random ;)

When our hosts said "Oi...you're gettin a bit too big and popular!", I went through some settings in order to try and reduce the load a little bit, until we move :)

Where are we going ?? :thinking:

we are moving to a nice big spacious(hopefully fast and reliable)dedicated type server very soon(this week i hope)

We have around 80 people online in the evening, and currently getting up and past 270 members a day. You can have all the members in the world, but if they dont stop in and post it means jot. Luckily we have a great bunch who post, chat, share and make us the best forums around.

Try and make it the swap as painless as possible will you Matty. Server changes have been known to kill forums if the drag on too long.

If I'm online when we switch, then I'll make sure its done in the early hours, and the changeover is as painless and seamless as possible ;)

hopefully it will all be very quick and painless, as marcel doesnt actually sleep hes the ideal man for the job....we will get it all set up before hand, so it SHOULD be easy
