I can't seem to decide

I have the 35mm f.2 but thats being sold

So which lens do I replace it with. It will mainly live on the 30D but may have the odd outing on the 1DN

Choices are:

24mm f/1.4L
28mm f/1.8
35mm f/1.4L

I will be using this for indoor work mainly ie photographing award ceremonies, indoor car shows (Autosport was the last one and could have done with faster lens, I used the 24-105 f/4 and was mainly as the 24 end), weddings (not official) and general get togethers. So you can see I would like a fast lens that sharp at f/2 min

The Sigma was an option but I have been told that its not a good choice on a 1.3 crop camera (1DN)

Well the 35L is sharper throughout the frame than the 24L, especially below f/2.8 where the 24L gets a fair bit softer in the corners. But as much as I love my 35L I have to admit that it's a touch too long for versatile indoor photography.

It's probably better to capture a properly composed photo that's a bit soft in the corners rather than a photograph that's sharp throughout but has people's heads (or chins) cut off because you couldn't fit everything in.
