It's a great lens :) Stays attached to my D80 most of the time.

For uber-sharpness, f/8 to f/16 seems to work best for me, although I have no complaints about it at f/2.8 either!!!!

Thanks for the great comments all, and i love to hear that everyone is happy with it aswell, i hopefully have the pleasure this weekend to use it, since im full time worker now :S ( working 5 days a week ) for school...you need to run with a company for 1 year like you really have a job, and not just a job, no a job that can be your future job...so it has to fit to your education, been here 2 weeks and i already miss going out with the cam etc :(

Luckly this is an graphics company, so most of the time i kinda work with art, which i enjoy :)

looking forward to this weekend!

Yip great lens although I now have a 24-105 f4L and the 28-75 is rarely used these days. Only used if I really need the extra stop.

But it is a great lens.

I so nearly bought the 24-105 before I went to America. Glad now that I didn't. 17-40L was almost all I needed. If I ever go full frame I'd want one but just don't need it now.

You can still use the 28-75 on a FF I believe. many like that combo. The IS for me is just so much more useful most of the time than the extra stop.
