I am a new owner of a Canon 5D and cannot find the video mode setting :-(
Nothing in my manual (I realise it has to be in there somewhere but boy I have looked!!) and a quick google just tells me how wonderful it is that it has the function - great if you can find it!
Please help :-)

Which function should I have the main dial set to?
Sorry for being stupid! ;-)
These are my settings (not that I make use of it! Still a ball-ache to do something useful with that video on a Windows-based PC)

the whole of section 6, how can it be that hard to find?

windows movie maker, free and a piece of proverbial to use. loads of other useful apps out there too.
I really didn't think WMM dealt with the HD footage straight of the camera?
Lots of in-between work to do before you get to a truly editable file, no?
I have had it imported into Premiere CS4, but is still a beast of a file to work with!
