Well I'm at work but it took me 2 hours to get here *** of the weather I have a meeting at 2:30 and then I'm going to head out because I'm worried about how the heck I'm going to get home. I don't have a 4x4 and my road was already pretty deep this morning and Otley is flooded too. UGH! Anyone else having weather difficulty? And does anyone know if Pool-in-Wharefedale is flooded. *** if it is I have no clue whatsover about how I'm getting to my house!

Trees falling all around camp. Stream at the bottom of the hill flooded. watching it all on TV and laughing my conkers off.
It's only work - just stay at home!!! I get paid to risk my life at work, most of you lot don't...

Yikes! Be careful when driving across flowing water. The force of the water is enough to sweep your car away.

Stop! Go back. Go Home. How hard is it to understand? If the weatherman reports that the police are advising motorists not to venture out unless it's an emergency. STAY AT HOME...

If you are unsure, err on the side of caution. Put the kettle on and watch a DVD.

A woman got swept to her death in floodwater walking home from a pub somewhere near Worcester way the other night.
Its not worth taking risks, as Rob said.

We have terrible wind here at the mo ... must be last nights curry
Two fencing panels down, smashed patio pot, shed roof gone and as its bin day here & theyre only just coming round, street is a mess with upturned bins & litter ... I hope thats the only kind of 'disasters' I get to witness!

Unfortunately I've made it to work already! But I'm leaving at 3 to try and find a way home that A658 they are talking about being flooded is my only way home! Not sure what I'm going to do. This is when it would be nice if I had a friend or two to hunker down with.

I wouldn't recommend it. I'm lookign out the window at my office watching the roof be torn off the building to the side of me. There is now a big gaping whole in their roofk. Glad I don't work there!

I just keep looking at the 100ft chimney accross the road! :| doesnt seem to be moving at all though, which makes me feel slightly better. Supposed to be filming up a church tower this evening!! get a feeling that might not happen :p

Its getting a LOT brighter here now - all the clouds are blowing away and lots of blue sky starting to show. Not sure if this means the end is near or anything.

Just pretty strong winds in cambridge... but I think not really gale force though. It was raining earlier today but it's just patchy clouds now.

Well I have spent the day in bed trying to sleep, but all I have heard today is the wind outside, I was brave and looked out the window and the lamp post was moving all over the place. Back to work again tonight, to see how much of the ward if flooded, we had a couple of rooms flooded this morning when I left.

When I first read this I didn't see who had posted it and thought oh my God I hope Tim is ok! Glad to see you made it home safe and sound as well. There have been so many overturned lorries today. I know how hard it was with my little car I couldn't imagine driving one of those big things.

RIP indeed. Working in transport hearing this sort of thing affects you doesn't it.

I've never seen so many curtainsiders on the M25 tonight with their curtains tied back - don't blame them either. Just glad neither of my boys had work in the trucks after mid morning today - I'd have been looking to cancel them if they had.
