I,m looking to get a filter kit, probably the Cokin or Hi tech, so i,m looking for advice as i've never used this type before, what i,m looking for is a complete kit for landscapes to use on a Tamron 17-35mm lens set at 17mm for wide shots with no or vignetting, so ie holder adaptor and maybe 3-4 different filters, would really like the lee system but i don't have that sort of spare cash at the moment, are Hi tech better than Cokin ? your thoughts and advice much appreciated :)

Edit i'm looking at this Cokin one HERE (http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-cokin-h210a-landscape-1-filter-kit/p1000798) any thoughts on it ?

TG,

Just a heads up....I've recently used a Cokin 'P' holder with my Tamron 17-35mm lens - you will most likely need the Cokin 'P' wide angle holder to avoid vignetting.

EDIT: I asked a similar question (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=159090) recently (prior to buying the Tamron for a holiday trip).

Not sure you will need the wide angle adapter.
The only difference is it only holds 1 filter at a time, but the three (or normal) holder causes vignetting at extreme wide angles. You should be ok at 17mm.
