Hi all. I'm trying to buy some batteries for my D200 & D300. Its the same part number but some sites say you have to have a different one for the D300. Any ideas?

Cheers Dave.:nikon:

EN-EL3e compatible batteries should be ok. 3rd parties like Phottix should be ok, although you need to look for the 'D300 ready' Phottix ones, cos the old ones didn't work.

Yes the Phottix ones are great (make sure they are the new batch for D300) and seem to last a bit longer than original nikon ones for a fraction of the cost.:)

Are the Phottix batteries better than the cheap Bluemax ones (£17)from www.premierink.co.uk ?

I've got original Nikon EN-EL3E's and some supposedly "better" Inov8 copies from 7 day shop. Whilst the copies work just fine, their battery life is not as good as the Nikon ones.

Depends whats important to you as to which one you choose - I always use the battery grip with two batteries and even with the Inov8's thats best part of 3000 shots without chaging batteries, but the Nikon would probably be about a third better.
