...Would you go for cheap (and poss nasty) from ebay to try it out, or try for AF extension rings at a higher price...?

Has anyone got some who could take a macro of a stamp or something then put the extension ring on and retake?

If you had to have one size extension which would be better? larger (10mm upwards?)

If you want to try a cheap set of rings then make a donation of £6 to TP and I will lob a set in the post to you !

The mods have confirmed the donation. I am in bed at the moment with some bug but I will have to crawl out of bed tomorrow no matter what or we will run out of food. I will post it then for you and hopefully you should get it on Saturday.

Thanks. Don't worry about it if you are ill. Can wait a bit longer. Just got a 50mm f1.4 for the other half to play with. Very nice so far:)

I have vouchers for £75 off an SB900 or AFS 70-300 and £50 off the AFS 50f1.4 I am just deciding which one to get :) I really fancy the f1.4 but I have the 1.8 already and I have an SB600+800 so think I might have to go for the 70-300. Really want the f1.4 though.

I will post a few pics soon - some for flickr too :)

Do you know how to set the bracketing on a D300?
I reassigned the button for bracketing to the ae-l/af-l. But it doesn't seem to flag the camera like the manual says - just curious really as I haven't been able to get it going since the beginning.

Press the button (the one assigned to bracketing) and then rotate the front dial to activate it. The rear dial is to set the steps for bracketing! I think that's it.

Ok had a play...

By no means easy, may be the 200mm is slightly soft, but still sharper than the 18-200 vr... Weird ;)

Anyway added the extensions.. all of them.

Wasn't too bad... think I still need to tweak the settings a bit on the focus point on the 200mm (just flashes when close to focus)...

Thanks to cowasaki for the extensions. Brilliant for trialling...
Now I just have to justify the 200 mm by getting focus right and taking some good pics :)
