Hi - I just sold my Sigma 70-300 lens as it irritated me zooming in the opposite direction to my Nikon lens... this meant I kept missing shots as I zoomed in instead of out and vice versa...!
Is this the same on all Sigma lenses? How about oher non- Nikon lenses ie Tamron... are any the same as Nikon?
I am just thinking that they tend to be slighly cheaper but if they re going to give me the same problems as the previous Sigma then I'll just save a little longer and get a Nikon! lol
I don't own any Sigma, but i have Tamron and they are zooming the same direction as my Nikon :)

Oooh that's interesting... maybe I should look at those instead of SIgma then... thanks!
Well if your looking for a 70-300mm this one HERE (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=164616) is a very good price :)
A friend of mine has a D300 with a Nikon lens (not sure which one) and its the other way round to all my Canon lenses....

Most sigma lenses in my experience are the same zoom direction as nikon lenses, thus infuriating canon users... the reviews usually say which direction it turns :)
Certainly all the sigma EX glass that I've used turns the nikon way :)
I can't remember ever having a problem with my 10-20 Nikon mount.
