View Full Version : How good is this lens?
I was just browsing the london camera exchange and came across a cheap sigma lens, how good is it?
This is the link to it:

Its the wrong type of Canon fitment.
EDIT:
Ignore that, I'm being stupid I think.
EDIT2:
Maybe I was talking sense :thinking:
Really? Hm that's a bummer 50 quid seemed too good to be true!
Should be ok. Correct terminology is EF-fit.
Its not the best lens in the world, I had one for a while, bought new from Jessops for £ 99

The fitmants okay but it may not auto-focus on your camera.

its old and most likely not focus unlike the new one which is good
It mentions that it's suitable for film and early digital, so I'm guessing you'll lose aperture control on later digi stuff.
I had one of these older Sigma's on my Sony. AF etc all worked OK.
Great lens, built like a tank and was from the film era, so will work OK on a FF camera as well.
£50 sounds like a bargain to me.
