well i was doing a car boot and had a quick look around and saw on a nice stool a canon eos 650 with 28-135mm lens and a 50mm ef f1.8 lens, canon 330ez flash and a nice little bag all for a tenner:nuts:
had to make you jealous but it does show that you find good bargains in the most wierdest places.

lol togs are so gullable these days
I got a better one than that i bought a canon 1d mk2 for spares or repair there was charger and 2 batteries with it . I bought it for the charger the supposed fault shutter was sticking and suddenly camera then failed to turn on. i decided to have a play the reason it would not turn on was some how some selotape had got across terminals inside camera body i then turned my attenion to shutter the fault there was a piece of black plastic from and this is a guess the black plastic body cap that covers lens opening 20 mins work and £50.00 and i was a proud owner of a working 1d mk 2

yeah just checked and compared, mine is definitely the mark 1 version. so much is it worth? i might not sell it as i'll get a roll of film and try it out see if i like it but i would get very tempted since i have a sony SLR im saving up for either the minolta f1.7 or the sony f1.8 so it can go towards that.

sod sony flash save for a 5d mkI
I cant post it in the classified ad because of the rules, but i think its crap that just because people know how cheap you got this lens (50mm) that they are offering low bids because "they know how cheap you got it" If something is worth an amount its worth THAT amount regardless if you got it for nothing!!! Stick out for your asking price or near... and congratulations on your find!

As you should be aware, the word gullible is no longer recognised by the Oxford English Dictionary :nono:

tell the numpty in the thread that the mkI is more desirable (hence valuable) than the mkII secondhand but you might wanna check out the cpb price for a new mkII ;)

That was a lucky find. I had one a while ago, but not as good. But I came across another guy who bought a 'faulty' Canon 1D mk2N for £100, and fixed for another £150.
I really need to find some car boots in Bristol / Clifton. People can literally through away Leicas and silver here.
P.S. I had a chance to use both 50mm mk1 and mk2 - and mk1 is significantly better if kept well (metal mount, solid build, real MF ring with higher precision, and more aperture blades).

i agree the guy's only 15 , are people trying to take advantage ? - OP if you dont get what you want for it sell it on Ebay, dont let people on this forum rip you off.
no more mention of the classifieds please :)

Memory card for these goes under the rear flap and comes as a long thin sheet in a tube....'fraid you'll only get 36 shots though. ;)
