Yes they will.

Have you read your camera manual? It would answer this question and potentially thousands of others so please give it a go!

The 1D will only accept EF fit lenses, the 450D will take EF and EF-S lenses. So If they work on the 1D, they'll work on the 450D, but it's not necessarily true the other way around. Hope this helps!

The 450D will take all EF and EF-S mount lenses, so yes.

All Canon dslr cams use EF LENSES and added to that all 1.6 crop bodies can also use EF-S Lenses as well as EF Lenses

The only exception might be some of the very long "L" series lenses. Not sure there is enough room in front of the mirror on the 450/500 type bodies.

All crop bodies have smaller mirror than 1D / 1Ds / 5D series. Why would there be a problem, did you look it up somewhere, maybe you could give some references to back your statements?

What has the length got to do with it?
It all about the mount the lens will fit all EOS cameras
all EF and EF-S mount lenses will fit the crop sensor cameras but only the EF will fit the full frame sensor like the 1
