Hi
ive got a DSLR nikon d80 and a SLR nikon F80. i have a nikon af 28-105mm lens for my d80.
I was wondering if this lens would work on my f80.

This is an AF-D right? If so then yes, but the wide end won't be so wide anymore. You may want to consider an 18-70 if you want to maintain the effective focal range.

Assuming this is the AF (-D) 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 then it will work fine -- it is an excellent lens, and a really useful range on film.
This is an AF-D right? If so then yes, but the wide end won't be so wide anymore. You may want to consider an 18-70 if you want to maintain the effective focal range.
The OP is going the other way, already using the 28-105 on his D80 -- he'd need a 42-160 lens to have the same view on his F80 as with the 28-105 on a D80.
An 18-70 on a DX body is equivalent to a 28-105 on a full frame digital/film body.
