Okay then.

This thread is going to discuss the proposed tour around the country (or countries if we're that way inclined).

Basically if you missed the previous threads, we'd be looking at several long weekends (taking in Friday-Monday or Thursday-Monday) - that way we can include the weekends and those of us who work Monday-Friday can make the most of the holidays we get off a year. It basically allows us to have a week off at the expense of a weekend.

So we need ideas of where we would like to go. Scotland definately, but where? Wales too, but where? - Anyone up for a trip over the pond to Ireland for a weekend? Devon/Cornwall sort of places would be good too.

Can't do it without going to somewhere at the seaside either ;)

So, firstly who would be interested? You don't have to come to all of them - Sue and I might not even go to all of them, if we can keep the groups kinda smallish it'd work out better I think - if you just want to go to your closest one - great, if you don't want to go to any of them - thats fine!.

So, if we evenly space these things out over the months from May-November or something and look at maybe 6 outings? How does that sound?

We'll book into B&Bs and either have something structured or just decide what to do each day when we get up.

Who's up for it?

Sounds good to me, depending on dates and locations I would be interested in coming along

This sounds like fun!

Needs quite a lot of planning, but one (or even two) of the photography mags often posts the top 25 locations in an area, so these backcopies might be a good planning start. I'll see if I've kept any......had a good throw-out session just before christmas....ALWAYS a mistake!!

This would be good, looking forward to seeing different places. I would like scotland, not wure where, hmmm enjoyed the area around Ayr when visited with family a few years ago, but didnt have camera then so not sure what there is apart from lovely landscapes.
Hmmm Wales lots of years since I have been so not sure.
Ireland would take a lot of sorting out, and never been.
England, would like to see a lot more of this.

Would be interested too depending on dates etc.

Dorset was really scenic and somewhere I'd love to re-visit.

I would like to suggest the New Forest for a meet.

Tons of photo opportunities.

Scotland - Pitlochry Hydroelectric dam is stunning in the autumn as the Loch at the top has lots of potential for "autumnal trees reflected in still waters" type shots. There are some other beautiful places round there too - there's also a railway line running directly between Inverness & Glasgow which might prove useful for people.
