I was just thinking to myself, why not have a "Ladies forum?" Just for us gals. Come to think of it I don't see too many women out there. Are there any gals out there in these forums? If so what do you think of a "ladies only" forum?

You are very welcome to spam, sorry post all over the Photography and General chit chat forum with any subjects you care to discuss, even ladies things  I am sure that there are one or two lads here that will join in with a lady and might reveal some of their feminine side. :D

Seriously I don't think that we have that many ladies registered yet, certainly not enough to warrant a separate area for the fairer sex but as I have said anything that is legal and semi decent can be posted in the general chit chat forum.

Hope that helps a little.

I suppose if there isnt' enough women in the forums it doesn't make sense to do so, but I hope down the road as more and more women do take interest in the site that you give it some consideration. :D

This woman thing gets on my nerves a little to be honest, i'm not against sex equality, but lets at least be equal about it. I used to swim a lot, but stopped because i could never find a slot, most nights there was a woman only session (women could go all other times too) was there a session just for men...nope! On BBC Radio 4 there is a programme called Womans Hour, is ther one called mens hour too....Nope! Photography Forums is a place open to both men and women, if you have a woman's section (which from steve's comment is not likely just yet) then i am going to lead the campaign for my fellow men folk to re-address the balance and ask if we could have a mens section too please. Am i being petty?

By the way i'm a fella!

I suppose when it comes down to it we're all just photographers. I can't see how a women only forum could work, I mean how can you tell from an online id who is and who isn't?

1) Lots of pictures of fluffy animals/stuffed toys
2) Slightly argumentative once a month
3) Discussing scatter cushions
4) Going loopy if a 'new' baby is posted.... [smilie=s:

A women's forum would be much too complicated.

Exactly. Over on DD recently I had a quick glance at a new member's website which contradicted the assumption I'd made that someone who'd assigned themselves a "Gentlewoman" avatar would actually be female!

And another thing. If they got a womens forum, us blokes would be really entitled to have a men only room, but they'd quickly want to join that as well  .

Very funny there Steve! I used to belong to a site a while ago and they had a womens' forum which I found a nice change from time to time. Men were not allowed to post in there at all. Yes the women could "spam" I mean post our pictures in any forum but sometimes it was nice to just chit chat among women folk, that's all. :P

isnt that what the telephone was invented for ?

but......in a forum not so far away ( like the topical theme ? ) they created a forum for the darker side of menfolk , for jokes and pictures of animals etc, well to be honest, this turned into a lude rude forum that i didnt want to post in or my kids to accidentaly see , and got out of hand imho ,

so no women or men forums, just one for photography please..nuff said
