Grendel - try turning off your firewall for a mo and see if its that - *** I can see the pooh bear no probs.
All working as normal here now, dns seems to have updated :)

Haven't had a problem seeing Pooh or any other avartars. But now all I see of mine is a red x. Any ideas how to get it back? :shrug:

Robert not sure about the login, ive had that same problem for months on my main machine, but on my laptop its fine, but i will look see if there is something amiss.
Brassneck you dont need to see the comp galleries to enter, only to vote...and that will be taken care of tonight, i hope!

I still get a blank screen when I hit the link at the top of the page. I have erased all cookies and the like. is there something else I should try?
hmmm i dont about that blank screen thing, i changed something that i thought might be causing it, but really not sure now...
paypal button at the bottom of the screen, thats why its showing that line
affiliates, moved it temporarily
If I right click the links and choose properties then gallery links that work are

The galleries link at the top is http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/gallery/
and that does not work. If I edit the URL to http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/gallery/index.php then it does work.
Seems my browser is not guessing index.php to be added ;)
hmm it should find index.php automatically, if there is index.html in the folder too it wouldnt work as it would clash...i will play with the permissions and see if that helps

Just tried IE6 and it works fine. Firefox has the problem.
ive done a quick workaround for now, i dont know exactly what it is thats causing that in firefox, but it should work for everyone now.

I'm pretty that the only pics showing up in the random images pane on the home page are from competition galleries Matty :shrug:
was set to random, changed it to latest now, so probably wont change...
Hmmm, thing is, with so many of the pics being from competition galleries, when you click on the thumbnail to see the full size shot, you can't a) see who took it and b) follow a link to that persons gallery to see more of their work. Sorry to be a pain Matty but it worked better the way it was before IMHO :shrug:
ive not changed anything in the module except the path to the gallery, thats why it didnt work before, so why its choosing the comp gallery is anyones guess. Bod is far more up to speed with that module and the gallery, so when he gets BT to get him sorted that will be his first job!
Nice one, thanks Matty :thumbs: In my experience, anything involving BT is bound to go t*ts up so it might be a while before Bod is back online :( . It's no co-incidence that the letters B and T are in the word "bast**d" :lol:

Is it just me or is anyone else haveing problems still with the gallery. I cannot get into my own albums, I click on Galleries | My Albums and then select any album to view I get page cannot be dispplayed error. The URL to the galleries seems to wrong.

the first url is on your hard drive. have you cleared cookies and logged back in yet?

Yep tried all that it happens in both IE & Firefox, the URL generated seems to refer to IE5 which I don't have installed so I don't think it's a local issue.
I've had a few timeouts on this site today. Seems to happen for a couple of minutes then all is fine and flying along again.
And I'm still not remembered continuously here in firefox. Pot luck whether I'm still logged in or not when I come back here.
ive had a couple of log outs randomly as well Robert, its a cookie thing, but i dont know what causes it...further investigation is taking place..
the gallery thing im not sure on, i cant recreate the problem at all, so im a bit stumped..
Didnt we used to have limits as to who could offer stuff for sale in the classifieds?
we should do, its time based i think

Joe T - Got a feeling - it was never set up - Have a feeling we talked about it 20 posts or 50 posts or something but dont think it was implimented. Only one we used to have that was post related was the CD sharing one.
On the Gallery - cleaned Cache and still get the same - is anyone else getting it or just neon and I
there is a time limit on classifieds, and a post limit...i get a few irate emails from people who cant post a new thread in there.
Does the post count need to be higher?

Well, Im not sure if tis working. There users with less than 20 posts and join dates of Jan 2007 selling kit.
its working, the limits are set pretty low but i think maybe i will increase the limits
Well the limits for the Classifieds section were 7 days membership and minimum of 10 posts.
We've since increased this limit to 50.
However...Not mentIoning Any Names, but a way that someone got round it was to put their classifieds thread in the wrong section, then a kindly mod came along and moved it to the classifieds section, which with it being a mod thing, overruled the access thingies set in place. Something we can now look out for should anyone try it again ;)
As for the gallery problem with the Local Settings link...it should be now fixed.
I've fixed the "My Albums" page, so if it appears again (or indeed, anywhere else), let us know.
I'll go through this thread and see if there are any outstanding bugs (Thats bugs that are still knocking about, not reaaaaaly good bugs that deserve a medal :p)

Hehe everything in this thread is now fixed. There is a slight problem with the glossary, so expect it to disappear temporarily while I break it properly :D
It will be back shortly though as soon as I'm done breaking it. Promise.

I'd just like to say Matty has been a star doing all this work (and those that have helped him of course). :thumbs: So cheers Matty, and thanks for stepping up and doing it all while I moved house :)

Well firefox still won't stay logged in for me. Seems random as to whether I'm logged in when I return or not.
Hmm I'd suggest it could be a local browser issue.
Im using Firefox 2 and its working fine for me.
I did have some log in issues, which meant that if I logged into the gallery, it would log me out of the forums, and vice versa....not sure why though. I did manage to fix it with a server setting.

The gallery images on the front page - do they now only pick up from the competition gallery? Is this how its remaining?
