Hmmm started this somewhere else, but thought it could also be a bit of a theme, cards are so expensive for this one day in the shops, so how about we try to come up with some ideas for cards of our own for this day.

So anything that sums romance/love up would be good, a bit like this months calendar picture :) Something that bit different.

That looks good, what a good idea, something so simple yet so effective.

So far I have not had chance to have a play at doing this myself, but hoping to come up with some ideas this week.

Hello! i have a small range of greetings cards and use simple images, being a beginner still, the shagging ladybirds is a popular one, see thread 'very naugthy ladybirds' and a single red rose. . . . .
. . . . PS, when being sent roses only a huge bunch will do! but a single one is fine for a card

Last year I made a card using thick card of different colours to make a picture of Calimero holding a heart, and a pic of myself on the inside.

I think it was about A3 in size and cost me more than a shop bought card, but boy was it worth the extra effort :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

First off - eyup, I'm new

Here's the photo I took for my wife's card.

That's a frost covered bench and some photoshoppery. She liked it

Nice shot, underclerichy! And welcome!

Could you explain it a bit - I think I'm seeing a frost-coverd picnic table with some graffitti on it. Or are my eyes funny?

Nice shot

Cheers!

...graffitti on it....

I dunno, you make an effort - it's art, not grafitti. Tut! ;)

It's a curved bench in my garden that's normally gloss black but was covered in frost a couple of weeks ago. I fancied being a bit creative and ended up with various shots including a hand-print and some doodles with my finger nail (such as the heart).

I created it by roughly drawing around the heart with the select tool followed by adjusting the colours to make it red. Then I desaturated the background, thus making it B&W.
