Currently have a Pentax K10D but will be getting a 7D and 100-400mm before Xmas (just waiting for a cashback deal or price drop).
I have quite a few grands worth of Pentax lenses I will be selling (as well as some I will keep) but included is a K mount manual focus 300mm f2.8 with 1.4x and 2x matched teleconverters which give very good quality images.

So the question is : I notice there are adapters to mount K lenses to Canon bodies, what do they give me Aperture/metering/focus confirmation wise and will I be able to use one on the 7D without butchering the aperture lever on the lens.

TIA.

Have a read of these:

This seems to suggest you don't need to remove the lever as long as the lens is being mounted on an EF-S body, which the 7D is.

Don't have any personal experience with this, so can't guarantee it will work.

Thanks, will have a look at them.
Really need someone with a 7D and K mount lens to verify it .. just to be sure as I wouldn't like to be the first
