Will post some pix of my 1950 Ford Mercury as soon as I can get them uploaded...
Too much like hard work for my liking :)

Must agree with you Robert  :D
This man has PATIENCE!!!!
Well it's not a classic as such but i am currently restoring my Escort RS Turbo which has gone the way of many Fords and is suffering quite severly from the old metal moth
Cant bring myself to scrap or break her up and sell her (which was the initial plan when i got her) so i've dived straight in at the deep end and dusted off the old MIG welder
The following pics are not a pretty sight ................ viewer discretion is advised..............
Looks pretty good doesnt she

These are just some of the panels required to bring her up to standard

And this is how she looks now

A very difficult patch to fabricate this one

Quite shocking isnt she and yes all my friends/family think i'm mad :cuckoo: but when i drove her home it was like being 17 again.
So far including buying the car the bill stands at £2000 approx  and thats before the engine rebuild and respray but i am doing all the work myself and i am a fully qualified mechanic/technician so i can do all of the work myself apart from the respray.
I'll keep you all up dated as and when if you like

Very neat work you are doing there old man, looks like my 1950 Ford Mercury needs less body repairs than yours but some rather nice welding all the same...
