View Full Version : new Dslr Which one?

i planning to buy a SLR in the next month, but i need good advice on which one is the best one.. my budget is around £500, with lens or not - doesn't matter, ive used cameras such as the d80,d90,d300 & 5D, i will manly use this camera in general places such as outside.

there's a decent d80 for sale on the forum within budget too

I would say shop round and get a D90 although you might need to add a small bit extra. If it basically a cheaper D300.

Canon 40d could be a good option? I heard someone say that you can get it in kit form with 17-85mm from PCWorld/Dixons style stores for £599 new.. That's pretty good value!

Pentax K-7 or K20D.

If you shoot "outside" alot, these would be a good choice.

They are weathersealded and can withstand being covered in heavy rain all day long and perform fine, as well as performing in sub zerio temperatures with no hiccups at all :)

You can get a k20 with 3 lenses for 550 secondhand ;)
