Some cracking shots there kicker old man

How is it that you get the runway threshold in the shot :bang: :bang:

Our local runways are extremely flat and not accessible even with a LOOOOONG lens :gag:

Great shots though!!

Anton..
I learned to 'Levitate' when I was a youngster LOL
on a serious note, at Newcastle its on a small gradient which is obviously a great help for pictures

Far from short, The perspective of the shot makes it look short.;)

Nice shots there. Where abouts were you standing? I've shot some planes at Newcastle Airport but from the other side of the runway, didn't think you could get a view from the terminal side.

thanks for the comments
At Newcastle you can take pictures from both ends of the runway

a long lens will help of course.... which 'compresses' the perspective, making the runway look very short
cheers Chris

Never realised that :embarrassed: Will have to have a look up again, I've got a tokina 24-200 and a sigma 70-300 so I should have enough reach. Where you using your 200mm or 400mm?

500mm and 1.4x conveter was the kit used
although you can get closer than I was... I wanted the landing lights in my shots
cheers Chris
