Avitar -- picture help

hello All

I have been trying to attach a little picture of me ' as my signature or Avatar. I have been keeping the size down to below 19k, but for some reaons the upload keeps failing.. Should I be setting it up as a signature or Avatar..? Any suggestions would be most appreciated as I am sure you would all love to see my image..!!
PS should I load from computer or a remote site.. like Photobucket as with normal image uploads.. I have tried both without success...

Oh cancel it appears to be up and running now.. !!!

For some reason my avatar uploads always come up with a failed to load type message, but invariably they do seem to load and work anyway. :shrug:
