Hi all,

Is there a test scenario for working out how well the focus is working on cameras? I've a lens which seems to be slightly out of focus when I think it should be in and wondered if there's an easy way of testing the results and calibrating the camera for this? I know I can use the AF fine tune on the nikon, just wondered the best way to go about it

You could use the rig in my first post here to determine the focus offset (if there is one). (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=171178)

I nearly drove myself mad with testing focus accuracy. In the end, the wise words of a friend told me to just take pictures of people and not worry about AF tuning. He was right. The shots I got were as sharp as a pin.

Take heed! The road you are about to go down is one frought with frustration (in my experience).

Thanks for all the links guys, I'll give it 10 mins Chris and give up on the idea if it's like that, my attention span is very short :D As I said it's just one lens that bugs me
